Big Ultrasound Update

The ultrasound today was awesome!! Baby Coe is a healthy little peanut, weighing in at 8 oz. and measuring 7 inches in length. All the measurements looked great...and are on par with our due date of July 27th. Unfortunately, Baby Coe was a little camera shy so the sex is still a secret. Keep the votes coming! Here are a few poses from today:

One More Week!

We have one more week until our big ultrasound appointment. Hopefully baby Coe will give us a good show so we can find out if "she's" (I still think it's a girl) a boy or a girl!! We are excited to see the growth that's taken place since our last ultrasound. It's still amazing to think about every little detail that goes into creating our little one. God is awesome! Check back next week for the update!

Beginning stages of the Nursery

We were fortunate to come across a (very gently) used crib and changing table on Craigslist a few weeks ago. The set was exactly the color and style we were looking for - and the savings was worth investigating. We viewed the set Friday night and returned Saturday to purchase. With some help from the previous owners, we were able to transport both pieces yesterday and assemble the crib today. Best part of the whole story, we've made some new friends who we will most likely spend time with again in the future. They generously threw in a couple of "extras" that we are truly grateful for!

Here are some pics:

140...

beats per minute!! We heard the baby's heartbeat at our appointment this morning - which is an amazing sound! My doctor laughed when I asked if that meant it was a boy?! Dave proceeded to tell her about some of the other fun "tests" we've read online to determine the sex of your baby (ie: the Drano Test - ask Dave if you want details). She told us to be patient for one more month and she'll get us the "real" results!

Our ultrasound and next follow-up appointment is scheduled for February 25th. We are anxious to find out if it's a boy or girl - but will be keeping those results a secret! I personally feel like it's a girl and am drawn to anything pink right now - infact, I just bought a new pink purse for spring. So we'll see. Feel free to take bets! Cuddle up and stay warm!

Brrrr

As many of you are aware, it's COLD outside...which I guess is to be expected in Ohio this time of year. As a result, Dave and I have been enjoying many lazy nights by our fireplace these past few weeks. All the "hibernating" has been nice during the earlier weeks of my pregnancy - but I am happy to say that I'm regaining energy and ready to pick up the pace again! Luckily, I have been creating an extensive to-do list that will benefit from my new-found energy. As you could imagine, there are many things to accomplish before we welcome Baby Coe later this year. The first few on the list include painting the nursery and ordering baby furniture. We have explored some furniture options and will continue exploring until we find what we like...and for a price that fits our budget :). Suggestions are welcomed!

No other news for now... just a quick update as it's been awhile since our last post.

Stay warm!
