140...

beats per minute!! We heard the baby's heartbeat at our appointment this morning - which is an amazing sound! My doctor laughed when I asked if that meant it was a boy?! Dave proceeded to tell her about some of the other fun "tests" we've read online to determine the sex of your baby (ie: the Drano Test - ask Dave if you want details). She told us to be patient for one more month and she'll get us the "real" results!

Our ultrasound and next follow-up appointment is scheduled for February 25th. We are anxious to find out if it's a boy or girl - but will be keeping those results a secret! I personally feel like it's a girl and am drawn to anything pink right now - infact, I just bought a new pink purse for spring. So we'll see. Feel free to take bets! Cuddle up and stay warm!

Brrrr

As many of you are aware, it's COLD outside...which I guess is to be expected in Ohio this time of year. As a result, Dave and I have been enjoying many lazy nights by our fireplace these past few weeks. All the "hibernating" has been nice during the earlier weeks of my pregnancy - but I am happy to say that I'm regaining energy and ready to pick up the pace again! Luckily, I have been creating an extensive to-do list that will benefit from my new-found energy. As you could imagine, there are many things to accomplish before we welcome Baby Coe later this year. The first few on the list include painting the nursery and ordering baby furniture. We have explored some furniture options and will continue exploring until we find what we like...and for a price that fits our budget :). Suggestions are welcomed!

No other news for now... just a quick update as it's been awhile since our last post.

Stay warm!

Update!

Hi All,

We had a great appointment this morning. Due to a technical difficulty with the in-room ultrasound machine, we had the luxury once again to use the "cadillac" ultrasound. We saw beautiful pictures of Baby Coe - measuring near 10 weeks. We saw arm and leg buds. "He" even gave us a little show - wiggling arms and legs on screen. Thanks again for your prayers! Our next appointment is in late January. We'll provide some updates in the coming weeks.
