IT's A

BOY! After much contemplation, Dave convinced me that he would feel better connected to our baby if he knew the gender for the remainder of the pregnancy. I knew there was no way he could keep a secret for the remaining 18 weeks, so I caved :-) LOL We are thrilled that our little guy looks healthy and is right on board with a March 29th due date! If you are friends with us on facebook, you can see a few ultrasound pics posted there.

Madeline is adjusting to the news of a brother. She was convinced it was a sister. In her sweet ways, she has begun kissing my belly and saying hi baby brother. It melts our hearts. While she saying all the right things, I truly don't think she comprehends what lies ahead. Her days of having all of our attention will be coming to an end. For a toddler, she does pretty well sharing with her friends at school. I don't think it will take her too long to embrace the idea of sharing hugs and love with her new brother.

We are 3 weeks away from the big move. We are spending much of our weekend packing. We'll be heading north for Thanksgiving, so we're down the wire in terms of available packing time. Dave has been a champ with packing. I've spent more time sifting through belongings and determining what will go, what will be donated and what needs to just be pitched. He's done the majority of the true packing! Madeline has been helping too by "marking" the boxes for the movers. She can't stand hearing a box being taped closed and written on by daddy without getting her mark on it too!

As we lead into Thanksgiving week, we have plenty of things to be grateful for! God has truly been good to us and we praise Him for all His blessings. There are seasons in each of our lives, and right now, we are enjoying an abundant one. Thank you God! May this post find each of you happy and well!

Halfway There!

Today marks 20 weeks! We are anxiously awaiting our anatomy ultrasound next Friday. While we don't plan to find out the sex this time around, there is peace-of-mind in knowing our baby is growing and developing appropriately! I am happy to report that I'm feeling great. The start of this pregnancy was a little more rough than with Madeline, but has progressed very well. It's amazing how much faster the time is passing with this time around. I suppose chasing around my adorable toddler is helping to make the time pass more quickly.

We are all doing well. We've been keeping busy packing for the upcoming move. We've done our duty in donating this year. With the luxury of time, we've had the opportunity to purge as we pack. Our move down here was much different as a moving company did all of our packing for us and we did zero purging before that move. It feels good to rid of things in our life that are not needed, yet may be needed by someone else. I think we've adopted a new minimalistic lifestyle that we hope to maintain in our new home.

Stay tuned next week for the ultrasound updates and pics :)

Wow - delay in posts...Quick Updates from the Coe's

It's been some time since we have posted to our blog. There have been plenty of changes going on in our lives. Here is a quick update:

Madeline is growing up fast. She recently moved to her big-girl bed, which she LOVES! She is talking up a storm. Her vocabulary is extensive and keeps us entertained with her the stories she tells.

We are excited to be welcoming Baby #2 in late March 2012. I am currently 17 weeks pregnant - with a March 29 due date. My initial doctor's appointments have gone well. We have our ultrasound appoint in 3.5 weeks. We will NOT be finding out the sex this time. We will be scheduling a repeat C-section...and have decided to keep one element of the experience a surprise to us all. Madeline is convinced she's going to have a baby sister. Hope she's not disappointed if she gets a brother :-)

We are moving in 6 weeks to our permanent home here in Cincy. We have fallen in love with and are excited to be moving to home in the community of Loveland. It is a smaller community that has a great school system and a charming downtown area. We have been impressed with the sense of community that exists in Loveland (something that was missing her in Mason). It happened quickly - so we've been rushing around to pack our lives up for the move. We hope to be settled in just in time for Christmas.

All is well on other fronts. Dave continues to love his job. I am now co-Directing Madeline's preschool. I have been offered a 4-day work week which has made the transition a bit easier for all of us.

We hope to keep this blog updated from time-to-time. The luxury of time does not exist like it did before Madeline was born (imagine that) - so don't anticipate the frequency we once had in updating. I will try to get some pictures posted in the next week!
