We had my (almost) 27 Week appointment today. The appointment started off with my glucose test. While I didn't enjoy my sugar-filled, flat orange soda at 8 a.m. this morning, it wasn't as bad as I expected either. Fortunately, I didn't feel any of the side effects - so I really can't complain. I passed with flying colors...so I guess the occasional ice-cream cone is not out of the picture this summer! :-) Everything else looked fine. My uterus is measuring one week ahead of schedule ... perhaps Dave will get a 30th Birthday present ON his birthday?! Not likely, I know!
On a different note, Dave and I enjoyed a quick family getaway to Phoenix last week for my brother's wedding. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and got to visit Sedona on Saturday. For those of you who have never been, put it on your list of "must-sees"! While our time passed quickly, we enjoyed the vitamin d and the break from our day-to-day routines!
It's hard to believe that Monday will be put us 3 months out from our due date. Time is flying! We'll post some updated belly pics this weekend. Enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend!

Aqua Taebo
For the last several weeks Heather has been talking about the movements she can feel from our little Coe. I place my hand on her belly feeling what might be little movements produced by baby Coe – or maybe Heather's stomach muscles contracting when she says "there, did you feel it!" I think for about 10 % of those movements I could consciously say "Yes, I did fee that," though my confidence was low. HOWEVER, today marks the change of all that. Shortly after we woke up this morning Heather indicated some activity from baby Coe. I again placed my hand on her belly, but this time I got a whalup! No doubt, I felt a kick or a punch. It was like baby Coe was trying to use mamma's belly as a punching bag, or least trying to give me a high-five. Wow, that was fun. Our little Coe is quite active with an apparent interest in getting fit with some Aqua Taebo.

Happy Viability Day!
Today marks the start of Week 24! According to all the literature I've read, week 24 marks the point at which a baby could survive outside the womb - with LOTS of medical assistance and prayers. We certainly pray that our little one is enjoying "his" stay inside mama enough to stick around until "her" due date... but it's nice knowing we've reached this point in my pregnancy!
We promised updated pics this weekend and failed to post some - forgive us! We WILL get some up in the next few days!

IT's A...
GIRL!!!
HA - April Fools Day! Whatever our little one is, "she" sure is active! I've been feeling a lot of fetal movement...and I cherish every little kick! I'm told that as the time passes, I'll likely not enjoy the kicks as much as I do now?! We'll see! Look for a 23 week picture later this week!
