Yesterday marked 8 weeks to due date!
We enjoyed the hospital tour on Thursday night. We were able to see all the areas of the maternity ward - making the experience more real! I know Dave was enlightened by some of the things we learned in the birthiing room. I'm lucky that I have a husband who is VERY interested in the whole birth experience...in fact, I think he's really excited about it! While the sight of blood and other "unmentionables" make most cringe, it has the opposite effect on Dave.
We were pleased with our pediatrician appointment on Friday. The practice is comprised of 4 doctors, one of which we'll eventually choose as our primary doc. We were warmly greeted by the office staff - which made us feel right at home. They do have evening and weekend hours, which was high on our list of priorities. All is all, we're pleased with our choice.
As for our weekend, we got lots lots of our outdoor projects completed. Dave finished the gate for our fence - so that project, minus staining, is done!! He did a great job and Brutus is loving the freedom of roaming the backyard. While the added freedom allows him to run around, he prefers to find a sunny patch of grass to take a nap...typical Basset! We planted flowers, trimmed shrubs and did some minor weeding. All that's left is mulching, which we'll tackle on another weekend. We got our deck ready for summer, hanging windchimes and getting our tiki torches refilled. We're now officially open for business and ready to have visitors! :)
Yesterday we went to the South Euclid Memorial Day parade that passes right by our neighborhood. We've missed it the past 2 years and decided we needed to make it a priority to attend this year. All in all, it was your average community Memorial Day parade. Of course, I enjoyed the marching band the best, particularly the percussion section! I think Dave just enjoyed being an attendee at the parade after many of years of marching in them.
We finally relaxed on our deck last evening before starting another work week. Have a great week!
